The living room is starting to take shape and I thought I would share a few details with you.

I looked at many sofas before I decided to get a Karlstad from IKEA with a matching pouf. It was the only one in the right size, in the right colour where I liked the fabric. I am really happy with it. I have ordered special legs for both pouf and sofa handmade in Sweden, that I am still waiting on to arrive.

I have also ordered a bookcase, that I am waiting on. I also need a new dining table. The walls are still empty apart from my String pocket shelf.

I will keep you updated, when new things are happening. If you want to see more of my new home, you can check out the hallway here, the kitchen here and bedroom here.

It’s looking so finished already Rikke! You have been a busy bee. Hows the hand? x

Well let’s not talk about the corner of the living room where all the paint cans, all the tools, paint brushes etc. is stored ;) It is definitely getting there and more importantly – it feels like home!

Hand is still on the mend, getting there, but (too) slowly. Still wearing the splint and still no DIY projects for me.

Well as long as it’s getting better that at least is something!

I had a spring clean yesterday and am just waiting for better light to take some pics. I think we all have those corners with tools and stuff that don’t belong but I am looking at clearing all my excess stuff. You’ve inspired me to keep going. I love your style and the simpleness of design to show off the best so I’m spending some time simplifying. Can’t wait to visit your place in real life. xxx

So happy to hear that I can inspire you, my dear :) my hand is finally feeling better, so I spent all morning yesterday finishing up little paint projects around the house. I’m trying not to overdo it and at the same time I just want the last few things off the list, so all the tools, paint etc. can go back to the basement. I’m getting there!

[…] don’t like the wooden legs, that Karlstad was born with (see what they look like in this post) – and I don’t like the metallic ones that IKEA offers as an alternative either. So I […]

Smuk sofa!

I love your blog and your eye for design! I’ve spent the last half hour pouring over it. :) I was wondering if you could share where your white coffee table is from? It reminds me of a Hans Wegner design that I really like!
