My Karlstad sofa and pouf got new legs.
I don’t like the wooden legs, that Karlstad was born with (see what they look like in this post) – and I don’t like the metallic ones that IKEA offers as an alternative either. So I ordered two sets of Prettypegs from Sweden. The model is called Carl and they are made out of ash wood – a light wood type that fits with my nordic taste and the style in my home.
Prettypegs makes many different kinds of legs – in different types of wood, shapes and colours. They fit with most IKEA furniture like sofas, beds, chairs etc. and they can also be used with some none IKEA furniture. Find more info on Prettypegs.com and see if you can’t find a pair of nice new legs to freshen up your sofa or chair.
I am very happy with them and I am glad I spent the extra money on new legs – they really suit Karlstad and it looks like a completely different sofa now. It’s a much lighter expression and in tune with the mid-century modern look, that is hot in sofas right now.
That is one more thing checked off my to do list for the living room. The room is really starting to come together and I will show you more soon.

Nice legs! And I love your floor :-)
Thank you N! x
Indeed it looks like a completely different sofa… Love your style
It really does – makes a huge difference. Thank you very much!
Det ser super godt ud! Faktisk gør det en kæmpe forskel, når man sammenligner med de gamle ben. Smukt!

Ja, det er vildt så stor en forskel det gør, ik? De penge er godt givet ud. Tak :)

Very nice!!! We looked at pretty pegs too but it was rather expensive with postage and what not. I looked for wood turned legs and couldn’t find them anywhere. I had some under my nose all the time in the form of some Ikea tub chairs at work.
I punched them off the chairs and swapped them on to my Karlstad. Just need to sand them back now and stain or varnish them.
We were looking at the exact same ones too. Can’t wait to see your living room x
Thank you, Hun. True, they are a bit pricey – but it’s a cheap sofa, so that makes up for it. I am really glad I spent the extra money – it’s a completely different sofa now.
Great thinking with the DIY! Share some pics when you are done on IG, please ;)
Will show you more soon. Xxx
