Good morning lovelies and happy 3. Sunday of Advent – Christmas will be here soon, can you believe it? Are you getting excited? I sure am although I still have a million things to do and time seems to be running faster than usual. But that is December for you, isn’t it? Today we kick off the 3. Advent give away with a Nordic twist. This week we will be spoiling your walls. I have teamed up with the wonderful Ylva Skarp.

Ylva is a very talented calligraphy artist from Sweden. I have been a long time fan of her work – I have serious handwriting envy! This week you have the chance to win the Balance print from her new collection.

I love the minimal look of this print – it is beautiful! But the best part is the message. I have a tendency to get all caught up in my work or the blog from time to time, so balance is my mantra. The print is a visual reminder to take a breather from time to time. I hope it will do the same for whomever wins this.

    I feel a good nights sleep is the most simple way to reenergise and take stock of your priorities.

    I am a student but work part time in a local gallery. While looking at art, photography and arifacts it allows me time to let my mind wander and to really think.

    I try to get a good night’s sleep every night Monday – Thursday. The weekend on the other hand – well I gave up on that a long time ago. I work long hours, so I tend to find balance and peace during the weekend, when I am among family and friends. But to be honest, I could use a lot more balance in my life (#1 on my New Year’s resolution list), and if I win this beautiful print, I would hang it above my work station at home. Hopefully, the print would remind me to breathe.

    For finding balance in my live I just take a moment, breathe, and enjoy a beautiful day with my husband and baby. Watching him smile is all I need to be happy and have a wonderful life! A baby always makes your life amazing and I’m so grateful that I have these two people in my life!

    Ahh… from my computer worked. Balance is a reminder we all need in our lives. Balance family, work, friends, kids, and life in general. So challenging at times.     I Think that our kids make the balance in our life – even though they also steel your Night sleep ;) – e.g. In the middle of chaos at work, christmas crazyness and everything Else, our daughter Got ill and we had to change plans, slow Down and spend a lot of Time together – not planned, but great.

    Absolutely LOVE this poster! I didn´t know it, but know I can see that it´s the exact thing my walls are missing :) To have balance you need to be grounded, and what grounds me are my family and close friends – I always feel gratitude whenever I spend time with them, and am reminded what´s important in life. Also just taking the time to think and reflect, mostly by writing in my journal and noting a few things each day, things that I´m grateful for or things that I could work on. And remembering to enjoy the “little” things – good music, long walks, beautiful sights, and laughs :)

    My balance is found when I’m walking over the hills with my beautiful labrador…I have a busy large family & as much as I love the hustle & bustle as soon as I start up that hill all the stress slips away & I am restored. Simple

    Egentlig syntes jeg det er svært at finde den rette balance, mellem arbejde, familie og hobby. Jeg syntes alle tre ting er noget der kan bidrage både positivt eller negativt afhængigt af mængderne.
    Den ene ting tager hurtigt hinanden og skaber hverdagens trummerum, men det vigtigst for at finde balance syntes jeg er at stoppe op og mærke efter hvordan man har det og overveje om man bruger sin tid, som man helst vil.

    Balans för mig, i mitt liv är beroende av fler faktorer men framför allt egen tid! Egen tid i form av träning så som yoga eller andra pass! Eller tid för en god bok eller bara att stanna upp i tiden, känna tacksamhet för det liv jag lever och har levt!

    One way for me to get balance in life is trying not to get to addicted to all the different social medias that surround me. I’ve decided not to join Facebook f.ex. but I really enjoy Instagram and reading blogs on my iPad.     2. Balance for me is to be surrounded by family and friends. It’s also to have a job that I love and to work with people whom I trust. I also find balance by taking long walks by myself when I can just relax my brain.

    I try and find balance in a few different ways…daily investing in the spiritual, physical and intellectual (I’m worst at this one!), having meaningful/intentional social interactions with my husband, friends and family, serving others (that I know or don’t know) and knowing when I need some down time a.k.a knowing when to say ‘no’.

    I just made a little balance in My life by giving My self an early Christmas present; I went to a babyclinic in Copenhagen and got to see My tiny baby for the first time and with a strong heartbeat! Now I Can relax and enjoy My holiday :)

    I find balance when I’m out in the forest with my dogs. Clean air, nature and time just for me and the furry ones. Running free gives such joy to them and the sight of their happiness puts all things to perspective. They remind me to joy the little things in life and most of all, live in the moment.

    I find balance in busy times by crocheting, sewing, knitting and rearranging my thougths. It often helps to clean up my appartment and to get rid of things I don’t need.

    Balance…. (sigh)…. Something I tend to find in my busy life. Single mom of 1 son, working a full time job, struggling to find some what balance in her life.
    So this beautiful Ylva Skarp print would look beautiful in my new home! And hopefully a constant reminder that everything in time will be allright… When i find the right balance….

    I find balance in my life by giving myself some me-time from time to time. Turning off my phone/laptop and taking a long bath, going to the movies, taking a run or walk, or watching a movie on my couch with my cat next to me. After that I’m totally zen!

    I try to find balance by squeezing little bits of art into the open spaces of my days. It’s definitely something I need to work on in the coming year though.

    Balance is one of those illusive things we’re always seeking.

    I love the idea of having reminders of balance or being grounded through breath, engagement, and deep relationship and engagement with others. Balance most easily comes in the form of re-energizing through the gym or yoga, or even hugging my animals!
