Lomonto at Formland UPgraded via that nordic feeling

My head is still buzzing from Formland UPgraded last weekend. I met a handful of new designers that really caught my eye. That is my favourite part of design trades – meeting the people behind the designs and hearing them share their thoughts and inspirations. I have two posts coming up for you on new designers and a post about the trends of 2014. Here we go with the first load of designers.

First up is Lomonto. A few days ago I shared a photo of some beautiful wood works from this new brand by Agnes Nilsson. I also really like the beautiful candle holders featured in the top photo of this post. They come in both brass and copper and you can mix and match the rings to create the exact look you want – now that is brilliant! The brand is so new, that the website is still in the making.

Nur caught my eye immediately. I love the general feel of simplicity that both the candle holders, shelves, trays and even logo give out. The trays are my favourite – I want one for the kitchen, one for sorting mail, one for jewellery and one for – well let’s just face it, I need one og these! Maja Bøgh Vindbjerg is behind Nur and once again the brand is so new, that the website is still under construction.

As you know, I love prints. I have a big collation, but there is always room for one more (right?). The prints from LOVE&INK spoke to me – the colours, the shapes, the playful use of materials. Nicole Rindsig is behind this new brand that I’m keeping my eye on.

Last but not least – I fell in love with a wardrobe called Töjbox (töj means clothes in Danish). How gorgeous is this?? I mean, wow! The designer is called Michael Daae Christensen and he is only 22 years old. His brand is called Made by Michael. I expect great things from this young man.

unfortunately the photos I took of the piece at the trade did not turn out well (the awful indoor artificial lighting is a killer to any good photo shoot), but I borrowed these from Michael’s website. Sign me up for a Töjbox please!

Part II coming up soon, so stay tuned. Happy Thursday x
