Spring is in the air and Easter is just around the corner (hello holiday, sleeping in and spending time at the summerhouse!). Birds singing, sunshine, bulbs and blooming trees everywhere are making summer feel near. I can’t wait – I looooove summer. Long light nights (Scandinavian summers rock!), bare feet in sandals, sun kissed cheeks and all the ice cream I can eat are just some of my favourite things.

So I didn’t hesitate when Pinotex asked me to be a part of their new campaign ‘Add colour to your summer’. I spend as much time as possible outside during summer to make up for the long cold Danish winters. In my own garden here in the city, at parks around Copenhagen, at the beach or the harbour baths (we sure love water in Copenhagen), at the summerhouse or at friends and family’s gardens – you name it, and I’m there!

Decorating your outside space is just as important as decorating your house – and I love how you can be more playful with colours outside to match the blooming flowers. It’s quite easy and cheap to paint old garden furniture and flowerpots to add some life and personality. I have gathered some inspiration for you on Pinterest. These are my favourite ways of adding colour to your garden, balcony or patio. There’s a photo from the summerhouse in there too.

What are your plans for your outside space this summer? And how do you add colour to your summer?
