Hello guys. It’s been a bit quiet around here lately. This week took a rather unexpected turn as I fell quite ill on Monday and had to leave work. I spent Tuesday at the hospital with what might be appendicitis. They weren’t sure, so I got to go home although still admitted, while we wait and see what happens. It’s been a few rather painful days, but I am finally starting to feel better and I hope it means, that I am out of the woods. Cross your fingers for me!
Last week flew by – I went back to work after the summer holidays and my calendar was packed with fun events (more on that later in this post), catching up with friends and spending time with my good friends from the UK, who were in town. I spent all of last Sunday at DesignTrade catching up on all the great AW14 news, talking to designers and brands and getting inspired. My camera is full of photos and I am looking so much forward to getting all my ideas and impressions into writing and sharing them with you! On the blog soon, I promise.
I’ve been doing some shopping lately getting ready for the cold season. These two new cashmere sweaters moved in along with the silk shirt hanging on the wall. Nothing feels as good on a cold day as a warm and soft cashmere knit. I also bought a fabulous dress from &OtherStories with the most amazing zebra print. It’s a new favourite for sure and I’ll be wearing it every chance I get.
As I mentioned earlier ^^ I attended some great events last week. On Wednesday night I went to a fab dinner party hosted by Broste Copenhagen, Emmerys and Bungalow 5. The menu was delish, the table setting divine and the company was great. The ever so talented Line Thit Klein photographed the event and I want to show you a few photos from this great night.
Such a fab night! On the morning after I was invited to the Kähler Restaurant in Tivoli, where Kähler hosted a special event to celebrate their 175 anniversary. We had a lovely champagne brunch, saw all of their AW14 news and got to paint our very own Omaggio vase. That was so fun! It might not sound very difficult, but I tell you it wasn’t easy! Once the vase is glazed they will send it to me. I will show you once it arrives.
Design fairs in CPH coming up
If you don’t have plans for next weekend (6-7th September), you should stop by LOFT Bazaren or Finders Keepers if you’re in or near Copenhagen. These are two great design fairs – I am planning on stopping by both.
