Did you know, that gratitude is an ability you can work on? By counting your blessings you remind yourself of how much good you have in your life. And trust me – no matter how much you want to change and how many things you feel aren’t going your way, you have plenty good things in your life too. Sometimes it’s just hard to see them or notice them in the hustle and bustle of life. I know this to be true, because it’s something that I practice myself.

Since the beginning of the year I’ve written down three things every night that I am grateful for. By focusing on the good, your perspective shifts and it gets easier and easier to see the good things surrounding you. And the feeling of gratitude grows on you and with you. It truly is an attitude – and one that can have a huge impact on your life and perspective.

This might not sound like a typical beginning of a blog post – but none the less this is a subject that is very close to my heart. So far I’ve been writing my own little gratitude journal in a notebook that I keep on my night stand. It’s nothing special, but it does the trick. But I do love pretty things – especially the ones that work well too, so I was thrilled when I saw the new gratitude journal from I LOVE MY TYPE.

You might remember I LOVE MY TYPE from this previous post. Or maybe you have downloaded the brilliant and FREE to-do-list I designed in collaboration with I LOVE MY TYPE for the blog’s 1st birthday?

Kathrine Højriis has done it again. Created a new collection of thoughtful prints and items that makes you reflect on life and love and all the important things in between. This time the collection is more than prints – now counting new items like cutting boards, notebooks and my personal favourite the gratitude journal. This beautiful little book is the perfect size to fit in your bag so you can keep it with you at all times. And did I mention the gold writing on the front and back? A little glitter never hurt anyone – it will put a sparkle in a dull day. (Did I mention I am a fan?)

The gratitude journal is sold alone and also comes in a set called the Happiness Package (what’s not to like?!) together with a set of reflection cards, two postcards and a gorgeous notebook. I do love me some pretty notebooks! As a writer I have been collecting them religiously for years. I love the potential (and smell!) of a fresh new and blank notebook – so many ideas to be had just waiting to be scribbled down.

I love this set so much – especially because the impact of writing down the things you are grateful for is huge. And yes, you do need to write them down. Just thinking about them won’t have as much effect. Look it up, it’s scientifically proven :) So I have teamed up with my wonderful friends from I LOVE MY TYPE to bring you some gratitude – or rather help you grow your own. You have not only one – but two chances – to win this beautiful set plus a poster of your choice from the new collection. We will be giving away a set on Facebook and a set on Instagram starting later today, so keep an eye on both feeds later today where I’ll share more details.

For now, let’s have a look at I LOVE MY TYPE’s beautiful new collection – you can find all products right here.

What an beautiful collection. Wow, I really love the typography and colors. So so nice. And yes, gratitude is something you can learn. An couple of years ago i had therapy and my therapist give me an excercise what consists of writing the nice things of a day in a journal. And after my therapy i keep up with writing it down and i have now almost 5 journals full. I am so thankful of that because it really helps me looking to the bright sight of life. I am a person where the glass is half-full and this keeps me from everthing seeing bad and dark. So yes, gratitude is beautiful. Have a nice evening!

I’m grateful for many things. But first and foremost for my two healthy, intelligent and funny daughters. I love them and my gratitude grows stronger for every second I get to be with them❤️
