L:A Bruket via that nordic feeling

Earlier this month I wrote a post about my daily beauty routines. As I mentioned then, I feel the same way about skin care products as I do about food. I prefer them to be as natural as possible and mostly organic, always without parabens and preferably without artificial colours and perfume.

So I was thrilled when my friends over at Walnut Street got in touch and asked if I wanted to work with them on a new brand, they have launched on the Danish market. The swedish brand L:A Bruket is as organic and natural as they come and they strive to be as environmental friendly as ever possible. Now that is a brand straight after my heart! I’ve had my eye on them for a while because I love their gorgeous packaging and ditto philosophy.

L:A Bruket is based on the traditional spa-culture of the Swedish west coast. The ingredients come from the sea, the coast and the plants. The different herbs, waxes and oils origins from near and far, all with special qualities. Each product is designed to heal, calm, nourish or moisturize. I love the references to Scandinavian nature as well as more exotic places. Read more about the different ingredients in the products here.

The products are meant to nourish and protect, soften and heal hands, cheeks, feet and bodies. Now, that’s a statement I can get onboard with! Especially wrapped in pretty packaging. Packaging shouldn’t be underestimated in my opinion. It’s a plus in my book when products are pretty enough to be left out on an open shelf. And L:A Bruket most certainly is.

I will be testing a broad range of their gorgeous products over the next six months and I’ll share my thoughts with you along the way. So far I am completely addicted to the scented candle with lavender. Lavender has a calming effect, so I burn it for 20 minutes in the bedroom before I go to bed. It leaves a very gentle smell of lavender. I am a bit sensitive to powerful smells (I hardly ever wear parfume for that reason), and this is just right. Not to overpowering in any way.

The hand creme is another favourite so far. My hands tend to dry out in this cold weather we are having, so a good hand creme is an absolute must.

I can’t wait to try out the gorgeous 4-step facial program that nourishes, replenishes, moisturizes and revitalizes (yes, please!) sensitive skin.

The body lotion is coming with me to Thailand. I’m sure my skin will be happy with a gentle organic hug from it after spending all day in the sun (Yes, I’m excited!). We are leaving tomorrow morning, so I’ll be spending tonight packing and getting ready. I have some special surprises planned for you next week – come back tomorrow, where I’ll reveal more.

If you want to try L:A Bruket too – you can find a Danish retailer near you – the rest of you can look for a store near you right here.

Have a great Thursday, guys x
