April is here. Wow! Really? Am I the only one who can’t keep up? 1/4 of 2015 is gone and honestly I feel we are somewhere in February. Phew! If this keeps up I will ready to start the summer by the time we celebrate New Year’s.
A month ago I wrote down my intentions for March and spring. It felt like a good way to keep myself on track and think I will do it again – maybe make a tradition of it. So April, what will you bring? I have a feeling, you are going to be a game changer. We will just have to wait and see, won’t we..
Easter is just around the corner. This afternoon after I finish work I am headed for the summer house (where my Easter break will look something like this, this and this – I hope!). I am ready for a few days in the company of some of my favourite people in this world, long walks on the beach, a glass of red wine (or two!) by the fire and a good book in the sofa. I have a very long to do list with me – there are always a million things to do when running a business besides having a full-time job, but I will make an effort to take some time off too. A thing I’ve been practising since I came home from my travels in Southeast Asia one and a half months ago (and blogged about a few times). It feels good, but it also means that I am constantly feeling behind and guilty. My mail box is full of red flags and my list of blog posts I want to write is endless. I guess that’s just the way it has to be right now. There are only 24 hours in a day and I have a fulltime job and I do need to sleep too. Balance is the key – I am still trying to figure it all out.
So that puts a nice Easter break and balance on my April list. Inspired by my chase for balance I’ve managed to squeeze in a few dates in April with lovely friends I don’t get to see too often. I also have a styling job and a new collaboration that I can’t wait to share with you later.
April, I hope, will bring sunny days and the slow awakening of all things green around us; new bulbs, flowers and trees – I for one can’t wait! I am also growing my own little greens this year – more on that soon. I really want to enjoy these little moments of spring feeling and the world coming to life again. That is perhaps the most important thing on my list. What’s on your April list?
Btw the photo in the top of the post is a sneak peek from a new collaboration I will share with you soon.
