How’s Easter treating you? I fell like a new person today. It’s amazing what a day off and a good night’s sleep will do to you :) Today has been all about slow living here at the summer house. I slept in and spent the morning sitting by the fire with hot coffee and a good book followed by a glorious hour of sitting outside on a deck chair soaking up the sun (dressed in a sweater, a warm jacket and a blanket – but still!) – boy, that felt good!
After lunch we went for a long walk in the woods and on the beach – the sun is shining from a clear blue sky, but the wind is chilly. The ocean was showing off with big waves and the wind by the beach went straight to our bones. The woods on the other hand was dead quiet and windless. Gotta love the contrasts of spring.
Right now pork cheeks are being slow roasted on the grill outside for dinner tonight and we picked up cake from the organic gluten-free baker in town for dessert (I love that we have one of those up here!). Life is good.
It’s amazing what slowing down for even a day will do to you – my batteries are recharging and I am ready to tackle my full inbox and ticking a few other chores off my list tomorrow. What’s on your Easter list?
Happy Easter my loves x

Happy holidays Rikke xxxx
Thank you my dear friend xx
Thank you, Rikke, for the beautiful photographs. It must be wonderful to have an access to the ocean, even if for a short visit only. I live vicariously through you.
I am so happy to hear you enjoyed the post Alena. Thank you for stopping by :) I am actually blessed to live near the beach here in Copenhagen too – I love the ocean! It’s my favourite place to go for a walk. The nature up here is so unspoiled tho, even if our Copenhagen beach park is a beautiful one too. Happy Easter x
