One of the trends I believe we will se more of this year is natural materials like stone, wood, marble, skins and leather. At the end of last year I was interviewed for a magazine about the three biggest trends I believed in for 2015 – this was on the top of my list. Today I want to zoom in on leather and give you some inspiration for adding leather details to your home.

By Lassen is out with a new hook called Stropp. I love this one – it is so versatile. I can see a purpose for this one in many different settings from the kitchen, bathroom, hallway, livingroom and even bedroom. It can hold your favourite magazines, the mail, your necklaces, the kitchen towels and your scarves and bags.

Louise Smærup has designed a line of gorgeous pillows all with a leather detail, that I love. It gives the pillows an edge and rawness – and a Nordic twist. I love the contrast from the grey hues to the raw leather.

Danish OYOY has several lovely leather goods in their collection. Personally I love the leather baskets and the pencil holder (which is perfect as a plant holder or storage for extra candles too if you ask me) – and who says that mouse pad can’t be an awesome base for a stilleben or a collection of your favourite tea lights!

Here you’ll find the OYOY trays in big and small, the mouse pad, the pencil holder and the pillows.
