The seasons are changing and it’s time to get out all the fall gear; woolen blankets, knitted pillows and the likes. Like I said earlier this week, I believe burgundy will be one of the new trends this season. So when I was asked to write about a new Danish interior brand I was thrilled to see, that they carry a pillow in the exact colour I have my heart set on this season. I love it! And it goes perfectly with my blue knitted Muuto pillow from last winter.
Pytt Living is a brand new Scandinavian interior brand with a passion for the softer side of life – they make bedding, pillows, tea towels and other soft kitchen accessories in really good quality and with thought to ethical and environmental responsibility. If you read my blog on a regular basis, you will know just how important it is to me that brands take responsibility for the environment.
You might notice the Only one you-print from my big AW15 trends guide? I couldn’t resist. It goes perfect with my new pillow and I love the splash of burgundy in the living room – it is a perfect look for the coming winter. Get the print and the brass frame right here.
Sweet dreams with soft bedding
I have been testing a few of Pytt Living’s products for a few weeks now. And next to the burgundy pillow, which I am really happy with, I am also a fan of their bedding. Nothing is better than getting into a freshly made bed – especially when the bedding have been drying outside in the fresh air. The smell alone is wonderful, right!
Good quality bedding like this is soft and cool and will snuggle against your skin perfectly. I love the detail of the gradient colour that goes from light to darker grey and a white backside – even on the pillows. The pattern reminds of a starry night – perfect send off to the Island of Dreams.
In the kitchen
I love to spend time in the kitchen cooking, juicing, or brewing coffee. As I’ve said many times before, good tools are a must. Pytt Living has a really nice range of kitchen goods. For me it is always a good idea to wear an apron while cooking for guests, as I tend to get so into cooking that I forget I am wearing a nice outfit – and we can all guess how that ends up (raise your hand if you can relate). So a nice, simple apron that I can wear with guests in the house and matching potholders was a welcome addition to my kitchen. I really like the simple look and light grey colour – it goes perfect with any outfit. And btw it comes in a chef’s apron edition too, if you are less likely to spill on yourself. I’m not, so I went with the full length one.
My most favourite part of the kitchen range is the leather details. Such a classy touch! They really brighten up the tea towels, apron and potholders. But don’t forget to remove these before you throw them in the wash. They are very easy to take off and put back on.
The classic colours on the tea towels like grey, blue and sand goes perfect with my white kitchen. For the sake of testing these I have tried both line-drying and tumble-drying them – and I am happy to report that the quality is good and both came out fine.
