I noticed the first few red leaves last week, when I was biking home from work. It’s time to turn on the heat, make a pot of hot tea and light some candles. Fall is definitely here and the air is getting crisper by the day while the temperature is spiralling downwards. As much as I am not a fan of colder weather and fewer hours of daylight, I do love the colour scheme of fall.
The new season is slowly starting to reflect in my decor. My new pillow and print was the first to arrive in the hottest colour of the season, the woollen blankets are out and a new magazine holder has moved in. Nothing goes better with fall than a stack of interior magazines, a Sunday afternoon and a cup of spicy tea.
My new magazine holder is called Box from the Elements series by Cane-line. It’s made of teak wood and pulverized aluminum and is therefore very durable. In fact it can be used both inside and outside. Think out of the box and use it for storage of toys, scarfs, magazines or plant your favourite plant in it. Check out the entire Elements series here.
To celebrate the new season and embrace the beautiful colour scheme I went for a little walk in my neighbourhood and collected a few of the fallen leaves. I framed them in this genius frame – it’s become somewhat of a tradition.

I love the caneline box and your autum colours. Now I just have to figure out how I can get the box to New Zealand.
Hi Jill. Thank you! I would be happy to put you in touch with the good people over at Cane-line, maybe they know a way? Just let me know. Happy Friday x
Hi Rikke, thanks for your reply. I’ve talked to a company that imports the outdoor range to NZ. They have a shipment leaving soon so are going to see if they can put one in for me.
Sounds good! Hope it works out, Jill :)
beautiful!
Thank you, Emma :)
