This week I am bringing you inspiration for a beautiful and simple Scandinavian Christmas table. Rosendahl asked me to interpret their Karen Blixen Christmas collection through three different stylings along with two other bloggers; Allan of Bungalow5 and Malene of Boligcious.
Last week I shared my styling of a Christmas decoration. Rosendahl asked their followers to vote for their favourite out of the three, and what do you know, I won. What an honour – thank you if you voted for me.
This week Rosendahl is giving away tableware for a breakfast table for the amount of DKK 2,200. Again all you have to do is vote for your favourite. Check it out over here.
Inspired by Nordic nature
My Christmas table was inspired by the Nordic nature and Scandinavian simplicity. I used a blue tablecloth and napkins from Broste Copenhagen, plates and cutlery from Rosendahl, glasses from Holmegaard, Karen Blixen hearts as napkin holders and Karen Blixen ‘nisser’ (the Danish equivalent of Christmas elves) to decorate the table with along with flowers in a Holmegaard Design With Light jar.
I did the flower arrangements myself. The sweet girls over at Grøn Grøn (more on their genius concept here) delivered the raw materials, so I had lots of beautiful flowers to work with. I wanted them to blend in, yet add a bit of decadence to the table. I actually took a flower decoration course when I was 14 years old. It’s a million years ago, but I still love to decorate with flowers.
Looking for more inspiration? Check out my Christmas table from last year.
