We all need hooks and clothes racks around the house to help us keep order. It’s a natural addition to the hallway as a place to leave all the bits and pieces we need easy acces to, like coats, keys, bags and scarves. But a clothes rack is also an easy addition to other rooms like the the kids’ room or even the bathroom. I’ve recently added a new clothes rack called FM Hooks to my bedroom. The FM Hooks by JENSENplus is a piece of contemporary Danish design. It is paper thin and made from powder coated steel, which makes it quite durable.
It comes in black, white and grey. And you can even have it custom-made in other colours for an additional charge. FM Hooks is designed by Friis & Moltke Architects and produced by the Danish design firm JENSENplus. The clothes rack measures just a little more than half a metre (54 cm x 12 cm to be exact).
Hidden extra hooks
My favourite thing about the design is that it can store more that what first meets the eye. Apart from the flowing five circles, which work as hooks, each of them have an extra hook hidden on the back. That’s brilliant if you prefer to leave the design of the circles as is or you just have a lot of coats and things to store. Or if you – like me, like to play around with different stylings, this gives you extra options.
‘Tis the season
Since December and the season for Christmas decorations is just around the corner, I could’t help trying out a simple, Nordic Christmas styling with the hooks. It’s an easy way to add a touch of Christmas (or nature decorations for the other seasons like Autumn for that matter) to a bare wall. Maybe an idea for the living room for the coming season?
